Top 2023 Motorcycle Rallies and Events: Which Ones Should You Attend and Why?

As soon as the snow starts to thaw, you begin deciding what motorcycle rallies to attend. The motorcycle community comes alive when streets are lined with hundreds of bikes. Attending an event requires nothing more than t-shirts and leather.

All bikers think about attending Daytona Bike Week. That’s a great event, but you don’t have to ride to sunny Florida to have fun.

Great rallies are happening throughout the country. Get your saddle ready to hit the road and participate in the top motorcycle events of 2023.

Bama Bike Fest

The old-school bike show in Forkland, Alabama, runs three times in 2023. Taking place March 16-19, June 22-25, and October 26-29, this is a 21-and-over event. Bama Bike Fest lets you experience four days of fun, including field games, bands, a wet t-shirt contest, a burlesque show, and more.

The rural location and largest party barn in the South can get a little rowdy, but if an old-time party is your style, don’t miss this one.

Laconia Bike Week

If you enjoy the East Coast, check out Laconia Bike Week in Lake Winnipesaukee, Laconia, New Hampshire, from June 10-18, 2023. The grandfather of all motorcycle events, this one dates back to 1916, runs for nine days, and is the state’s oldest motorcycle rally.

If you’re looking for family-friendly community gatherings, this one’s for you. The event is spread around the lake and brings in about 250,000 people yearly. You’ll enjoy the variety of vendor booths, tribute bands, bike shows, gypsy tours, beach cruising, bike build-offs, bikini contests, and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Hogrock River Rally

Cruise over to Cave-in-Rock, Illinois, to attend an adult-only bike show June 8-11, 2023. The festival feel dominates the area with a massive center stage, band, and entertainment lineup.

If you love the party atmosphere, you don’t want to miss this weekend with a rockin’ country vibe. Spend three days and nights with non-stop bands and entertainment on three stages, vendors, a poker run, helicopter rides, camping, field events, wild contests, and more.

You must show a photo ID to prove you are over 18 to enter. There is plenty of free tent camping and reserved RV hookups. The event is BYOB, and the nearest town is a 14-mile ride, so stock up before showing up.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

No list of must-attend rallies would be complete without Sturgis, South Dakota, taking place August 4-13, 2023. Started in 1938 by the Jack Pine Gypsies, this event rocks motorcycle culture. It is now the biggest motorcycle rally in the world, drawing in about half a million bikers to the 10-day event each year.

This is not so much a rally but an authentic motorcycle experience. The area has incredible scenery, fantastic riding roads, and excellent entertainment. The location is small, so prepare for tight maneuvering in a town filled with thousands of vendors, wild parties, contests, and more.

Bikes, Blues and BBQ

Bikes, Blues and BBQ is a 501c3 non-profit and the world’s largest charity motorcycle rally. Taking place September 20-23, 2023, in Rogers, Arkansas, this family-friendly event began in 2000 and has donated more than $3 million to local charities.

Four days of events include BBQ contests, motorcycle rides, a karaoke contest, entertainment, and demo rides for Harley-Davidson and BMW bikes.
