Daytona Beach Bike Week 2022 is here and ready to celebrate 81 years of fun, thrills, and excitement. This 10-day long rally runs from March 4th to the 13th and welcomes motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country.

As you prepare for this epic event, there are a few things you should know. Whether it’s your first motorcycle rally or your fifth, keep reading for our guide to getting ready for Daytona!

Check Your Bike Before You Go

There’s only one right way to arrive at Daytona Beach Bike Week — by motorcycle, of course!

But before you embark on your motorcycle ride, make sure your bike is in tip-top condition. This is especially important if you’re traveling long distances to get there.

Perform routine checks including tire pressure and tread, lights, batteries, and fluid levels. Ride in a group or consider bringing an alternate vehicle in case something goes awry.

To prevent numbness in your legs and back pain, be sure to bring your Wild Ass® seat cushion, too!

Protect Your Motorcycle

Daytona Beach Bike Week attracts over half a million people over 10 days. While most attendees are there to have a good time, bike thefts do happen. Whether your motorcycle is old or new, you need to protect it.

If your bike has a front fork lock, use it. When you’re exploring the sites on foot, always park in well-lit areas or in the parking lot of your rental complex.

Some condos in the area offer parking garages for an added layer of protection.

Make an Itinerary

You can imagine that a 10-day rally like Daytona Beach Bike Week has plenty of events and attractions to keep you busy. Check the schedule before you head out and decide which attractions you don’t want to miss. Plan your trip around these must-see events.

Daytona’s Bike Week has everything from parades and concerts to vintage bike viewings. There are also plenty of lively bars and food tables in the area for you to explore.

By planning ahead, you won’t miss any of the action!

Bring Cash

At Daytona Beach Bike Week, cash is king. Most vendors and bars only accept cash.

While there are portable ATMs on hand, you’ll probably pay a hefty fee to use them. Instead, take out plenty of money before you go or visit a local bank before heading to the event.

Some vendors do accept credit cards, so keep one on hand just in case.

Stay Hydrated and Safe

The number one tip for motorcycle safety is to never ride under the influence. Even if you’re coasting in idle down Main Street or don’t plan to take another motorcycle ride till you head home, be smart and stay hydrated.

Daytona Beach Bike Week has bars at every turn so turning down an adult beverage might be tricky. For every one drink you have, also drink a bottle of water. The average temperature in March in Daytona Beach, Florida is 75 degrees so staying hydrated will also keep you cool.
